The DNA of ArtSEL Schools
|
Creative Challenge: How can you create a piece of art inspired by Reggie Laurent that represents the “DNA” of your school by transforming your experiences, friendships, feelings, and important moments into colors, shapes, patterns, and textures? |
In this visual art and SEL lesson students explore the idea that their school has a unique “DNA” made up of its sounds, colors, textures, emotions, and shared experiences. Through sensory activities like sound mapping, creating color palettes, and collecting texture rubbings, they gather inspiration from their environment.
