Bowl of Light
This professional development workshop was designed to guide participants into reflecting on the light within themselves in order to recognize their own strengths and the gifts they give the world. The workshop included information about the ArtSEL program, outlined how art can be used as a contemplative practice, and provided resources for each of these components. Participants took part in a lesson inspired by an ancient Hawaiian story. The class then used the information and insights garnered by this activity to exercise visual art skills to create Model Magic bowls that reflected their inner light.
