Web Quest
In this web quest, you will explore resources for ArtSEL's third year. You will catch up on the Summer Institute, a two-day workshop that set the stage for a year full of creativity and learning. Use this web quest to inform your teaching practice in SEL, nervous systems, theater, morning meetings, and gain a deeper understanding of Reading Art and Tableau.
You will receive six hours of PD time for completing this web quest, which includes a small art project and a task in your classroom. Take the time to complete all tasks before submitting the reflection. Take notes as you investigate; you will be submitting a reflection at the end of the quest. 🤔 indicates a reflection question or activity. (CLASSIFIED staff, do Tasks 1, 2, and one of your choice, and then do the reflection for your 3 hours of PD.)
Follow the directions for each task to explore the concepts and tools introduced at the the summer institute. Feel free to look into the resources beyond what the tasks require. It's your journey!

Task 1: Pathways
Click on the image to explore pathways or review slide 42 in the SI Slide Deck.
In lieu of a fall training, ArtSEL is offering options for a more individualized learning experience. Certificated staff are required six hours beyond the required training sessions (Winter Institute, CES, Spring Training). These pathways are also a great way to make up hours.
Personalize your pathway with workshops of your choice. 🤔 Which pathways appeal to you? |
Task 2: Getting to Know Your Nervous System
Review slides 43-61 in the SI Slide Deck; read through the presenter notes.
Complete the activities described in the presenter notes in slides 53-58 in the SI Slide Deck to create your mask or do the Glimmer of Summer lesson.
🤔 You will be uploading a pic of your mask in the reflection.
